Zwick Team Participates in 201-Mile Cycling Event

Representing Zwick Construction, an employee and five of his friends participated in the Lotoja 2020 Cycling Event, finishing in 10 hours and 39 minutes (averaging around 19 mph).

The race spans 201-miles, from Logan, UT to Jackson Hole, WY– thus the name Lo-to-Ja. The net riding elevation gain is about 8,800 feet with three large mountain passes just south of the Grand Tetons. Around 1,500 people participated in the USAC-sanctioned event.

Participants in the race can choose whether to ride the entire course individually or as part of a relay team. This team chose to ride the entire 201-miles together. To prepare for the race, the team began training in Fall 2019.

For the employee, participating in the event highlighted the importance of teamwork: The participants’ families supported them through their training (nearly 320 hours), and provided nutrition/hydration to them during the race, among other things.

Congratulations to the team!
