The Roxbury Institute, a medical treatment center for lipedema, dermatology, and plastic/reconstructive surgery, combines state of the art medical technologies with premium styling (often called "resimercial design") to offer patients the most positive experience possible. A Zwick Construction project, The Roxbury Institute, was officially delivered in mid-October with surgeries scheduled days later.
While the building in which The Roxbury Institute resides has always been medical space, when the owners purchased the building, they hired the Zwick team to remodel the surgery suite. The 1,300 SF remodel included a procedure room, operation room, pre- and post-operation areas, clean storage, and several nursing stations. By nature of a healthcare project, the team had to follow strict guidelines during construction, including consistent cleaning and installing special medical-grade materials.
Because the building was still in operation during construction, the project team took precautions–including installing barriers–to minimize disruptions and keep dust contained.
Additionally, the team worked through significant delays of the air handler and generator to deliver the project to the owners.
This particular Roxbury Institute suite is located down the street from Zwick's Salt Lake City office in Murray, UT, but the owner also operates locations in Beverly Hills, CA and Tucson, AZ.
