This September we honor and celebrate Superintendent John Heath who retired from Zwick Construction following 14 remarkable years of service. His contributions to the company and his co-workers have been endless, and we appreciate his positive influence.
John began his career at Zwick Construction in 2008, one year after the company was officially re-established. He was among the first superintendents hired. In those beginning days, John completed many small tenant improvement projects. As the company grew, John worked on larger projects in various industries, including retail, higher education, religious, industrial, multifamily, and rec centers.
Throughout his time at Zwick, John delivered the Bud Bailey Apartments, BYU High Temperature Tunnels, several Deseret Book, AT&T, and Deseret First Credit Union locations, Northwest Recreational Center, Portland Oregon Temple remodel, Riverton Professional Plaza, Deseret First Credit Union Operations Center, Stokes-Warner Truck Center, Warner-Freightliner Truck Center, West Office Building, and most-recently the Pictureline addition, which was awarded to Zwick because of John’s close relationship with the owner. With every project John worked on, he found a way to deliver on-time.
“It has been my honor to work alongside John. Our company is a better place because of his relentless contributions, his desire to do things right, and his determination to mentor and quietly learn from every person he encounters.” Darin Zwick, President & CEO
John has always been known for his integrity. His clients and subcontractors appreciate his straightforwardness and honesty. John takes personal ownership of every project, dedicating the time and energy required to deliver the best projects. Even still, owing to John’s humble nature, he quickly gives the credit to everyone else. Because of his integrity, passion, and ability to work with others around him, John was selected as the first Core Value Award recipient in 2015.
During John’s 14 years at Zwick, he truly helped shape the company into what it is today. His contributions will be long-lasting and ever-appreciated. From all of us at Zwick Construction, we want to express our sincere gratitude to John Heath. We wish him the very best in the next chapter of his life– Thank you, John!
