Back at the Ford Building, our Tenant Improvement and Special Projects Division was invited to complete a second remodel project for the owners. This project not only represents another success for the division, but also a solid relationship maintained with the owner.
Constructed in the 1920s as a showroom for the Ford Motor Company, the Ford Building formerly reflected some outdated styles within the hallways and offices. The owners originally hired Zwick to update one of those offices. Following a successful completion, they hired Zwick this time around to update the common areas and hallways, including installing new tile, metal panels, windows, paint, and more.
With the nature of tenant improvement projects, the teams encountered various challenges throughout building. For example, the building was occupied throughout the entirety of construction. This required the team to carefully plan to keep access to those offices open.
Most notably, a couple weeks into the project, the owners requested to move the completion date up one month to accommodate an upcoming party. Getting to work immediately, the team set plans in motion to meet that expedited date, which included work during weekends and after-hours.
In the end, the owners were extremely pleased with the work and the timeliness of completion.
Congratulations to the team for all their efforts and sacrifices.
