Finished one year ago in May 2019, Onset Financial was a large, unique project that required flexibility and creativity from the project team. The owners of Onset Financial were greatly pleased with the results. The building won state and national awards.
This project began as a two-story, tilt-up structure. Shortly before construction was scheduled to begin, the owners decided to add another level to the building. This change required the collaborative efforts of the architect and the Zwick preconstruction team to keep as close to schedule and budget as possible. The structure is constructed of board-formed concrete tilt-up. Essentially, to create board-formed concrete, a layer of wood boards are placed in the framework where the concrete is poured. This process results in a patterned-concrete look. On this particular building, after the slabs of concrete hardened and were tilted-up, they were powder-coated. While tilt-up structures tend to be one of the less-expensive types of construction, the owners ensured that the highest finishes and details were used in the building. The interior finishes of the Onset Financial building include beautiful walnut floors, chrome railings, integrated steel decor, a glass atrium, and floating cloud ceilings. The building has several offices spaces, a lunchroom/breakroom, lobbies, gym, spa, executive suite, and virtual golf space. In order to fulfill the requests of the owners, the Zwick Construction team met daily to discuss where the project was at and how to satisfy any changes. Congratulations to the team for their hard work and dedication! Onset Financial plans to build another, similar building to the north of this structure once the campus requires expansion.
